Peder

Comment by Inger P. Ludlow:  "Parish register for Holme does not start until 1738."

Christopher Madsen

Comment by Inger P. Ludlow:  "The wife on this sheet[Maren Rubertsdatter] and [their] two children [Mads Christophersen and Kirsten Christophersdatter] listed here were recorded in the probate after the husband, Christopher Madsen, [died] in 1734, as being of his first marriage.  It is quite possible that other children may have been born to this couple of whoem there are no records.  The parish register for Holme does not start until 1738 making it impossible to further identify this family.  In the land records it was recorded that on 22 Jan 1699 Christopher Madsen of Skaade took over the lease on his father's, Mads Christophersen, farm in Skaade (reg. no. 4-6-3-1).  On 12 April 1728 child #1 on this sheet, Mads Christophersen, took over the lease on his father's farm (reg. no. 4-6-3-1).  This last transaction indicates that the father (Christopher Madsen) by this time was too old to take care of the farm any longer and therefore let the son take over.  He (Christopher Madsen) then became a cottager in the village of Skaade (reg. no. 0-6-3-2) and stayed there until his death in 1734."

Comment by Inger P. Ludlow:  "All of the children on this sheet [of the parents Christopher Madsen and Kirsten Laursdatter] were listed in the probate after their father, Christopher Madsen, [died] in 1734.  The parish register for Holme does not start until 1738 making it impossible to further identify this family."

Hans

Comment by Inger P. Ludlow:  "Parish register for Tranbjerg does not start until 1738 making it impossible to further identify this family.  The children on this sheet were present at the christenings of each other's children, and in their respective probates child #3 Jens was recorded as the guardian for his sisters' children, and their husbands were guardians for Jens' children in his probate."

Jens Eskesen

Comment by Inger P. Ludlow:  "In the land records it was recorded that on May 30, 1698, Eschild Jensen of Viby took over the lease on his father's Jas Eskesen, farm in Viby (reg. no. 6-5-3-2).  Parish Register for Viby does not start until 1719 making it impossible to further identify this family."

Juul

Comment by Inger P. Ludlow:  "Parish Register for Viby does not start until 1719 making it impossible to further identify this family expecially since the probate records for this area do not contain any information regarding this couple either."

Niels Jensen

Comment by Inger P. Ludow: "According to both the parish register for Viby and the probate after the husband, Niels Jensen, in 1732, this couple only had one son and no other children, this was undoubtedly because of the mother's age at the time the parents were married.  In the probate after the husband, Niels Jensen, the widow was called Maren Anne Ollufsdatter--that was the only record where her name was recorded as such."
