Ancestors of Robert Clayton Brough

Notes

Mette Christensdatter

Inger P. Ludlow, A.G., has stated:  "It is not possible to extend the lines of the wife on this sheet, Mette Christensdatter, even though all the available 'clues' were followed in an attempt to do so.  The marriage of Rasmus Rasmussen and Mette Christensdatter did not take place in the following parishes: Tranbjerg, Holme, Beder, Malling, Maarslet, Viby, Tiset, Fallling, Ormslev, Kolt, Hasle, Aarhus, Domkirke, Aarhus Vor Frue, Aaby, Framlev."  (Research report in possession of R. Clayton Brough.)

Rasmus Mortensen

Inger P. Ludlow, A.G., has stated:  "It is not possible to extend the lines of the husband on this sheet, Rasmus Mortensen, even though all 'clues' from among the witnesses at the christenings of the children here and also from the probate records were followed.  The extension which was made on his lines on the archive record was proved to be wrong.  However, the lines of the wife, Kirsten Sorensdatter, were extended through very slow and time-consuming research."

The burial of "Rasmus Mortensen" is listed in online MyHeritage, which states that he was buried on 19 February 1753 in Maarslet, Aarhus, Denmark, and that he died when he was "57" years old (born about 1696).

Kirsten Sorensdatter

Ludlow, A.G., has stated:  "It is not possible to extend the lines of the husband on this sheet, Rasmus Mortensen, even though all 'clues' from among the witnesses at the christenings of the children here and also from the probate records were followed.  The extension which was made on his lines on the archive record was proved to be wrong.  However, the lines of the wife, Kirsten Sorensdatter, were extended through very slow and time-consuming research."
