The birth and christening of "Jean Lauchlan" is listed in the "Scotland Births and Baptisms, 1564-1950" (via FHL Film # 1041476), which states that she was born on 17 March 1766 and christened on 18 March 1766 in Barony, Lanarkshire, Scotland, and that her parents were Robert Lauchlan and Margaret Houstoun.
