Mrs. Mads

Comment by Inger P. Ludlow:  "The only record to substantiate the fact that the wife on this sheet was indeed married to Jens Jensen Kasttrup, is the land lease record for Marselisborg Estate, where it was recorded that on 19 June 1934 Michel Madsen (child #4 sheet 1) took over the lease on his step-father's, Jens Jensen Kattrup, farm in Viby (reg. no. 3-0-2-1).  This same farm (reg. no. 3-0-2-1) was leased by Jens Jensen of Kattrup on 4 May 1711, but the record did not state who the former lease-holder to the farm was, although it is quite possible that it would have been the wife's first husband as this was most often the custom."

Karen Mortensdatter

David Madsen and Karen Mortensdatter had a "stillborn" child (of unknown sex) who was buried on 26 Dec 1750.

Mads Davidsen

Comment by Inger P. Ludlow: "It was recorded in the land records that on 11 Nov 1763 Mads Davidsen (child #1 on this sheet) took over the lease on his father's, David Madsen, farm (reg. no. 5-5-1-2)."

Laurids

Comment by Inger P. Ludlow:  "Parish register for Viby does not start until 1719 and there are no probates after a Laurids ----, who could be the husband on this sheet, and it is therefore not possible to further identify this family."
