Comment by Inger P. Ludlow: "Parish register for Holme does not start until 1738. Probate records for Marselisborg Estate (to which the lease on Peder ---- Smed's farm belonged) are missing 1735-1739, and it therefore [is] not possible to obtain the probate after the husband on this sheet. In the land records for that same estate it was recorded that the lease formerly held by the then (25 Oct 1737) deceased Peder Smed was turned over to somebody else, a Peder Christensen--no relationship to the deceased stated."

Comment by Inger P. Ludlow: "When child # 1 Mads died in 1755, it was recorded in his probate that his two brothers, Niels Pedersen of Borum and Laurs Pedersen, ships carpenter in Aarhus, were the guardians for his surviving children."
Comment by Inger P. Ludlow: "In the land records it was stated that on 12 Apr 1736 Mads Pedersen, born in Skaade, took over the lease on his father's, Peder Laursen, farm because the father had died. The farm was located in Skaade (reg. no. 3-1-2). In the same records it was stated that on 1 Feb 1755 Peder Madsen (child #2 on this sheet) who was born in Skaade, took over the lease on his father's, Mads Pedersen, farm in Skaade (reg. no. 3-1-2)."
