The christening of "John Brough" is listed in the parish register of Kingsley, Staffordshire (FHL Book # 942.46, B4pr, V.66, p.92), which states that he was christened on 27 June 1672 in Kingsley and that his parents were "Richard and Ann Brough".

The marriage of "John Bourck alias Brough" and "Sarah Hulme" is listed in the parish register of Leek, Staffordshire (FHL Book # 942.46, B4pr, Volume 93, page 68), which states that they were married on 7 November 1702 as "John Bourck alias Brough to Sarah Hulme both of Leek".

Research Notes: There are two burials listed for "Johannes Brough" in the parish register of Leek, Staffordshire, England (FHL Film # 1040768, Item #3): 1) Johannes Brough, buried on 3 August 1714 in Leek; and 2) Johannes Brough buried on 8 October 1715 in Leek.


Sarah Hulme

The christening of Sarah Hulme is listed in the IGI (via the LDS Extraction Program, FHL Film's # 872641, 1040765, 1040766).

The marriage of "John Bourck alias Brough" and "Sarah Hulme" is listed in the parish register of Leek, Staffordshire (FHL Book # 942.46, B4pr, Volume 93, page 68), which states that they were married on 7 November 1702 as "John Bourck alias Brough to Sarah Hulme both of Leek".

The burial of "Sara Brough" is listed in the parish register of Leek, Staffordshire, England (FHL Film # 1040768, Item #3), which states that she was buried on 27 April 1743 in Leek, Staffordshire, and that she was "from [the] Roaches".

Franciscus Chawner

The 1624 marriage of "Franciscus Chawner" and "Alicea Boughey" is listed in FamilySearch and shown in FindMyPast., which combined states that they were married on 16 November 1624 at St James the Great church in Audley, Staffordshire, England.  Note: Some online sources have listed the groom as being "Franciscus Thawner", but a careful review of the actual parish record by BFO researchers determined that the groom's surname was "Chawner".  Also, during the late 1500's and early-to-mid 1600's, the surname of "Chawner" appears in several parish records of Staffordshire, England.

Research Note:  In July 2022 the BFO Research Committee could not find any children born or christened to this couple.


Alicia Boughie

The christening of "Alicia Boughie" is listed in the parish register of Kingsley, Staffordshire (FHL Book # 942.46, B4pr, V.66, p.41), which states that she was christened on 15 April 1608 in Kingsley and that her father was "Richardi Boughie". The Kingsley Parish Register specifically states the following: "Apr.15 [1608], Alicia d. of Richardi Boughie" was baptised.  (Family History Library book # 942.46, B4pr, Vol.66, page 41.)
