Research Note: In 1980, a letter from Mr. Farquhar--the husband of Madge Osmond--of New Zealand, stated that: "My wife's father was born on 18 December...1882. He married Mary Jane Levett at the Church of St. Mark's, Brachwater Down, Sussex, England, on December 12th 1912 [but probably 1911--according to an online FreeBMD entry] and they emigrated to Kaikoura, New Zealand in 1913. They had five children, four of whom are alive. My wife's twin sister, Joyce was drawned in 1921 aged 3. The two eldest are also twins. Reginald Ken Osmond of Christchurch, New Zealand, married with two married daughters, and an unmarried son in Adelaide, Australia. My wife, Madge Ethel Osmond, born 7th April 1918 and we have two married daughters, and the youngest Ronald Thomas Osmond of Cambridge, New Zealand, who is married and has two married sons and an unmarried son and daughter. ...My wife's father died on 28th December 1970 aged 88 or 89, and was buried at Blenheim, New Zealand. His wife, Mary Jane, was born on 23 March 1884 at Mayfield near Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England, and died on 26th September 1972 aged 88 and was also buried in Blenheim."
