The christening of "Edward Martin" is listed in the parish register of Watermillock, Cumberland (FHL Book title: "Watermillock and Matterdale Parish Register", FHL Book # 942.85, K29C; first half of book: page 13), which states that he was christened on 3 January 1596 as the son of "Richard Martin".

"Edward Martinge" is listed in the parish register of Watermillock, Cumberland (FHL Book title: "Watermillock and Matterdale Parish Register", FHL Book # 942.85, K29C; first half of book: page 32). which states that on 20 August 1620 he was serving as a "Churchwarden" of Watermillock.

The marriage of "Edward Martin" and "Jaine Browne" is listed in the parish register of Watermillock, Cumberland (FHL Book title: "Watermillock and Matterdale Parish Register", FHL Book # 942.85, K29C; first half of book: page 43), which states that they were married on 11 May 1625.

"Edward Martin" is listed in the parish register of Watermillock, Cumberland (FHL Book title: "Watermillock and Matterdale Parish Register", FHL Book # 942.85, K29C; first half of book: page 48). which states that on 7 November 1627 he was serving as a "Churchwarden" of Watermillock.

"Edward Martin" is listed in the parish register of Watermillock, Cumberland (FHL Book title: "Watermillock and Matterdale Parish Register", FHL Book # 942.85, K29C; first half of book: pages 67 and 69). which states that on 31 May 1644 and 8 March 1645/1646 he was serving as a "Churchwarden" of Watermillock.

"Ed: Martin" is listed in the parish register of Watermillock, Cumberland (FHL Book title: "Watermillock and Matterdale Parish Register", FHL Book # 942.85, K29C; first half of book: page 158), which states that in "1661" he was "a jurior".

Genealogical information about "Edward Martin" and his family is listed in "Burke's Family Records" (via Ancestry.com), 1994, pages 426-427.  This source states: "Edward Martin, of Thackthwaite, bapt. 3 Jan. 1595-6, m. 11 May, 1625, Jane Brown, and d. 1670 (will dated 22 May, proved 11 Oct. that year), leaving issue" the following children: Richard, John, William, Edward, William, George, Barbara, Margaret and Elizabeth.

Mary Ann Davis

The birth date and place of Mary Ann Davis was obtained from the LDS Endowment record of Mary Ann (Davis) Williams as listed in FHL Film # 183408, page 209 (available in the Special Collections Room, Family History Library, Salt Lake City, Utah), which stated that at the time of Mary Ann's live endowment on 10 October 1881 in the Endowment House in Salt Lake City, Utah, the recorder stated that Mary Ann was born on 10 December 1860 in "Hydes Park, Schuyllkill, Pennsylvania", and that she was baptized into the LDS Church in 1868, and that her parents were Thomas J. Davis and Elizabeth Williams.

Geographical Note:  The travel distance from Coaldale, Schuylkill Co., Pennsylvania (where Thomas and Elizabeth Davis's first child, John Williams Davis was born) southward to Hyde Park, Reading Co., Pennsylvania (where Mary Ann Davis was born), is about 39 miles.

In the 1870 Census (recorded on 15 August 1870) for Malad City (Post Office) in Idaho, Mary A. Davis is listed as being about 9 years old (born about 1861), born in Pennsylvania, and residing with her parents, Thomas and Elizabeth Davis, in Malad Valley, Idaho.

In the 1880 Census (recorded on the 25-26 June 1880) for Samaria, Oneida Co., Idaho, Mary A. Davis is listed as being about 18 years old (born about 1862), born in Pennsylvania, and residing with her parents, Thomas and Elizabeth Davis, in Samaria, Idaho.
