"5 June 1773 [taken from the Jackson's Oxford Journal]: We hear from Bicester that on Monday last the Friendly Society of that place met...and walked to church preceded by the Gentlemen of the Music Society.  A Choir Service was performed and an excellent sermon preached.... The organ [was played] by Mr. John Osmond."
