Note by Inger Ludlow, A.G.: No sheet has been prepared for the husband and his second wife, as they did not have any issue--they were both quite elderly when they married.

Research Note by Inger Ludlow: When this child, Peder, was born in 1796, his parents were listed in Ajstrup Parish Register as: "The mother is Karen Jensdatter and the alledged father of the child was Christopher Christophersen, both working on the estate called Vadsholt in the parish of Ulsted. The mother gave birth to this child in the house of her mother" (but NO name was listed for her mother!). No clues could be found among the witnesses at the chr. of this child. The father of the child, Christopher Christophersen, could not be found on the levying rolls for Ulsted Parish and in the 1801 census for the same place he was not found among the servants on the estate called Vadsholt. The only Christopher Christophersen in the parish of Ulsted in 1801 was a man by that name age 39 working as a servant for the parish minister. When I followed the child Peder on the levying rolls from the time he was born, I found that he moved to the parish of Vadum, where I also found him listed with his mother, she was a servant in Oster Halne village and he was listed as her ill. son. In his later records such as the christenings of his children, his mother was never mentioned as one of the witnesses, neither was she listed as living with him and his family in any of the census records that were searched. There are still some records left to be searched, such as probates from the village of Tylstrup in Ajstrup, for a possible probate after the parents of Karen Jensdatter. I do not think it will be possible to further identify Christopher Christophersen.
