According to Inger Ludlow, A.G., Stephen Sorense and Giertrud Andersdatter were "not married." Instead, Giertrud Andersdatter married Peder Christophersen on 21 October 1823, and the couple were sealed by proxy in the LDS Salt Lake Temple on 13 May 1952.

Peder Christophersen listed as the husband on this [family group record] sheet (they never married) is the same man who later became the step-father of the husband, Jens Petter Stephensen, of the daughter listed on this sheet!

Note by Inger Ludlow: Even though Peder Christophersen and Kierstine Dorethea Sorensdatter never married, the sealing date for them shown on this sheet is acceptable because she never married anybody else, and because her descendants requested this special sealing. Because they were sealed as husband and wife, their child was also sealed to them later.

The christening of "Edwd. [Edward] Barlow" is listed in FamilySearch, which states that he was christened on 16 March 1728 in Manchester, Lancashire, England, and that his father was "Jno. [John or Jonathan] Barlow".

Research Note: It has been suggested that the father of "Edward Barlow" may have been "John Barlow" of Manchester, Lancashire, England, because Edward was married in Manchester and named his first son John.
