Gary Calvin Linnebach

MIDVALE, UT., - Funeral services for Gary Calvin Linnebach, 31, brother of Mrs. Darwin W. (Gwen) Cottle of Pleasant Grove, will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Midvale East Fifth LDS Ward, 270 E. 7570 South.

He died Thursday, August 4, 1977, at the Utah State Training School in American Fork of natural causes.

Born February 2, 1946 in Salt Lake City to Arthur Phillip and Ethel Jolley Linnebach, he was a member of the LDS Church.

Survivors include his mother; three brothers and five sisters, Phillip C. Linnebach, Bakersfield, California; Lawrence A. Linnebach, Cabezon, California; Glen A. Linnebach, Mrs. Cecil A. (Carol Ann) Tycksen, Mrs. John I. (Diane) Stoner, all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Charles C. (Lois) Rampton, Inglewood, California; Mrs. Gerald L. (Maurine) Gritten, Midvale; and Mrs. Cottle, Pleasant Grove, Utah.

Friends may call at Goff Mortuary Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the church prior to services. Burial will be in Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Carl was born November 26, 1932 to Homer and Esta Lee Jolley in Spring Canyon, Carbon County, Utah. He grew up there and in Emery, Utah where he lived until he graduated from South Emery High School in 1951.

After graduating from high school Carl found employment at Hill Air Force Base. While working there he met Donna Wilson, from Centerville, Utah. They were married in the Manti Temple in July 1953. Carl and Donna had seven sons and were very proud of them.

Carl volunteered for military service and joined the Air Force in 1952 where he served for four years. He graduated from Brigham Young University majoring Industrial Management in 1960.

Carl worked for General Electric, Litton Data Systems, International Business Machines, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints until his retirement in 1996.

Carl was an active member of the Church and served in many callings including Elders Quorum President, High Priest Group Leader, Young Men? President, and in three Bishoprics. The past 16 years he served with the Pleasant Grove East Stake Presidency as Executive Secretary, Stake Clerk, and Assistant Stake Clerk. Donna and Carl served four years as part time missionaries as Member Locators.

Carl is survived by his wife Donna, his brother Phillip (Debbie), his sister Ora Lee (Sterling) Waite, his sons Richard (Amy), Douglas (Cathy), Don (Aubree), David, Chris (Debie), Robert, Nathan (Yamina), and nineteen grandchildren and one great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert, and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1250 East 200 South in Pleasant Grove on Saturday May 15th at 11:00 A.M.

Viewings will be held at Olpin Mortuary at 494 South 300 East in Pleasant Grove Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M and preceding the funeral services from 10:00 A.M to 10:30 P.M.

Graveside services will follow at Bountiful City Cemetery that same day at 2:30 P.M.

In Green River Mishap

GREEN RIVER, UT., - A Green River, Utah man working on a state road project west of here was killed Thursday afternoon when he was pinned between his panel truck and a bulldozer.

The victim was Robert Gordon Jolley, 26, an employee of the State Road Commission. Jolley was taking density tests on Interstate Highway 70 when the accident occurred.

Jolley was working in the back of a panel truck when he was pinned by a bulldozer driven by Thomas Dally, an employee of Strong Construction Company.

Highway patrolmen said the bottom of the blade on the bulldozer was bumper high and caught Jolley by the head. He was killed instantly.

Jolley is survived by his widow, Nancy, and one child.

Amos Ivie Services Conducted In Ely

ELY, NV., March 25, 1954 - Latter-Day Saints funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon for Amos Ivie, 73, a resident of Nevada for 53 years who died suddenly following a heart attack at his home here Saturday night. Burial was in the Ely Cemetery.

He was born February 16, 1881, a son of Martin and Martha Memott Ivie at Scipio, Utah. he had been a carpenter but had recently retired. He married Louis Bruno in Scipio, November 16, 1900. He was a member of the Ely First Ward LDS Church.

Survivors include his wife of Ely; four sons: Emerson Ivie, Palo Alto, California; Lloyd A. Ivie, Salt Lake City; Cleade and Orlo Ivie, Ely; four daughters: Mrs. Luella Hills and Mrs. Lillian Taylor, both of Provo, Utah; and Mrs. Celone Bambrick and Mrs. Dorothy Links, both of Ruth; three brothers: Jim and Wilbur Ivie, both of Scipio, Utah, and Jerome Ivie of Provo. There are 23 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Louie Bruno Ivie

Mother Of Orem Woman Dies At 79

OREM, UT., - Louie Bruno Ivie, 79, mother of Mrs. Robert Hills of Orem, died Saturday morning at an Orem rest home of causes incident to age.

She was born December 23, 1881, in Morioni, Utah, daughter of Anthony and Lucy Bradley Bruno. She married Amos Ivie on November 19, 1900, in Scipio, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death. They spent their early married life in Ely, Nevada, moved to Utah for several years and then moved back to Nevada. She was a member of the LDS Church.

Surviving are three sons and four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Luella) Hills, Orem; Emerson Ivie, Mt. View, California; Lillian Taylor, Salt Lake City; Cleone Meadows, Ruth, Nevada; Arlo J. Ivie, Paris, Idaho; Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Lincks, Seattle, Washington; 23 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Olpin-Sundberg Mortuary in Orem. Friends may call prior to services. Bishop Ernest Clark of Orem Seventh Ward will officiate. Graveside services will be held in the Ely, Nevada Cemetery at 12 noon Wednesday.
