Farewell Held Last Sunday For Roy Couple
A farewell testimonial in honor of Ralph and Margaret B. Shomaker, former Manti residents, was held in the Roy Third and Eighth Ward Chapel in Roy, Utah on Sunday, May 8, 1966.
The Shomakers have been called to serve in the Southwest Indian Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint. Headquarters of the mission are P. O. Box 938, Holbrook, Arizona 86025. They will enter the Mission Home in Salt Lake City on May 16, 1966.
Mrs. Shomaker is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Braithwaite of Manti.

Lanny Steven Spraycar
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Lanny Steven Spraycar, passed away suddenly at his home on Dec. 5, 2006.
He was born Jan. 12, 1943 in Anaconda, MT, to Louis and Beth Oliver Spraycar. He graduated the class of 1961 from Weber High School. He married Carol Ann Shomaker on Feb. 22, 1963.
He is survived by his sweetheart, Carol Ann, and their children: Steven (Joy), LoriAnn (Craig), Stephanie (Nick), Jeremy (Krista), Jason (Tami), Angie (Brent), Josh (Heather), Alyson (Dustin), Amber (Adam); 32 grandchildren and three in production, and two great-grandchildren. Also, his sisters, Jill Jorgensen (Brent), Kathy Rose (Tom), and Gloria Redhair (John).
Preceded in death by his parents and his son, Kevin L. Bertoch.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 11, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the Roy 23rd Ward Chapel at 5930 So. 2200 W.
Friends and family may call at the Roy 23rd Ward building on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m.

Kevin Lee (Bertoch) Spraycar
ROY - Kevin Lee Bertoch, 39, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 11, 2003 at his home, surrounded by his loving family and friends, after a valiant battle with cancer.
He was born May 10, 1964 in Ogden, Utah, the son of Wesley James and Barbara Ruth Anderson Bertoch. After the death of his parents, Kevin became the son of Lanny and Carol Spraycar.
Kevin graduated from Roy High in 1982.
He married Connie Terkelson on March 11, 1987 and together had one son, Brycen Rex, born in 1989. They were later divorced.
Prior to his illness, Kevin was working for Americold.
He was an avid Broncos fan, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He and his son collected sports trading cards together.
Kevin is survived by his son, Brycen; his brother, Mike (Patricia) Bertoch; his sister, Debbie Bertoch; sister-in-law, Tracy Bertoch; parents, Lanny and Carol Spraycar; brothers and sisters, Steven (Joy) Spraycar; LoriAnn (Craig) Ashby; Stephanie (Nick) Walter; Jeremy Spraycar; Jason (Tami) Spraycar; Angie (Brent) Bradley; Joshua Spraycar; Alyson (Dustin) Waite; Amber (Adam) Keele; as well as 14 nephews, 19 nieces and three special friends, Cindy, Tabatha and Shelley.
He was preceded in death by his birth parents, Wesley and Barbara Bertoch; his brother, Jim Bertoch; and all his grandparents.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 17th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist"s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
Buried in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery in Pleasant Grov e, Utah. (D-15-115-01.)

Maurine Zabriskie of Pleasant Grove, Utah passed away January 9, 2013 in American Fork, Utah. She was born an only child to Verl and Mary Farnworth Zabriskie in Pleasant Grove on August 12, 1935.She attended schools in Pleasant Grove and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School. After graduating from Brigham Young University she moved to Los Angeles, California and worked for Littleton Industries in Technical Publications where she helped produce sound tracks for movies.
When her father became ill in 1974, she moved home to Utah to help her mother care for him. Following her father's death in 1975, she remained in Pleasant Grove with her mother as her dear companion until her death in 1990.
Maurine then took over the Zabriskie Custom Wedding Dress business and created hundreds of beautiful dresses.
She was a devoted member of the LDS church. Her favorite ways to serve were as the Young Women's President and Camp Director, Relief Society Councilor at the Alpine Valley Care Center and Compassionate Service Leader for the Orchard Ward. Because of her faithful service, many lives were touched. We are truly blessed to have had her Christ like example in our lives.
Maurine loved everyone and everyone loved her.
A brief memorial service only, will be held Monday, January 14, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Orchard Ward Chapel, 828 S. Locust Ave. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
