Martha Amelia Park, age 94 yrs, 260 days, died on September 9, 2014 at home in Kennewick, WA.
She was born January 22, 1920 in Bates, Teton, ID to parents Albert
James Mackley and Catherine Braithwaite.On February 28, 1943 she married Rex Lorin Park.
She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Besides being a homemaker, Martha was a retail clerk in clothing. She has lived in the Tri-Cities since the summer of 2007. She loved to garden! For most of her life, she grew most of her vegetables, preserved them and the fruit as it came ready to harvest. Her love of flowers was evident in the variety of flowers planted in the borders of her yard. She had an interest in becoming a Beautician, but there was never time or money to do so. She loved “5th Wheeling” with Dad before he passed. She loved her family, her
children, her grandchildren, the great-grandchildren and her large extended family.Martha is survived by children, sons Dennis (Maxine) Park, L. Brendt (Rosemary) Park, David R.L. Park, daughter Marilynn (Michael) Phillips; grandchildren Chad (Megumi) Park, Tammy Park, Eric (Jenny) Park, Stephen (Bekki) Park, Erin (George) Chapman, Kellen (Angel) Park, Lauren (Shawn) Wheeler, Caitlyn (Christopher) Crump, Rachelle Phillips, James Phillips; step- grandchildren Jess (Sara) Phillips and Jodi (McKay) Phillips Jolly, and 19 and a half great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Mrs. Maxine Zaugg Park, Mrs. Roma
Gold and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Catherine Mackley; husband Rex L. Park; all 12 of her older brothers and sisters and their spouses; her husband’s parents Lorin A. and Elva L. Park; brother-in-law
