HeirBURIAL: Pleasant Street Cemetery
During the 1890's, Kamloops was experiencing rapid growth in population and the need for a large graveyard was recognized, so in 1898 the city purchased land for what became the Pleasant Street Cemetery. The date of the first interment in this cemetery was 28 May 1900. Pleasant Street Cemetery superseded the small Pioneer Cemetery at Eighth Avenue and Lorne Street, which was located just east of the mouth of Peterson Creek. (Pioneer Cemetery has been recorded by the Kamloops Family History Society.) By 1951 it was evident the city would soon require more burial space and a 15-acre site was purchased in the Sahali area for Hillside Cemetery. Pleasant Street Cemetery continues to be used for burials in pre-existing family plots and there will have been a number of these burials since the transcription and extraction of records by the KFHS for this publication.Cemetery has middle name as Ferington.

DEATH: Died in Beazer, Alberta, Canada - this is south of Leavitt, Canada and is a ghost town now. It started to die was the High School closed (bused children to Cardston). The Post Office went next and then on September 1, 1969 the LDS church was closed forever.
BURIAL: Stephen is buried in the Leavitt Cemetery.
BIOGRAPHY: From Merilee Cahoon from Leavitt, Canada in July 2009 - When I was at the Beazer Cemetery I saw alot of Brandhams. I am going to give you names and dates and maybe you can find Ann from the info. IF she and Stephen married then she was definitely from around here. She probably and obviously married someone else from around here. Do you have her birthdate? I could keep my eyes open at Leavitt, Mountain View and Beazer Cemeterys. UPDATE:I have figured out a lot on the Brandham line. Jabez-George-Verle...three generations. I have found data on the internet from different sources and no Ann Brandham. She has to be around here and she had to have married someone from the area. Still looking. I think it odd that Stephen would marry so young, but if so, where did Ann come from on your search? Somebody put the info in.
Verle and May
1926-1984 1929-2000
Jabez and Mary S.
1846-1923 1854-1933
George S. and Emma Obray and Baby Boy (son of George and Emma)
1893-1942 1889-1939 1932
George Kenneth ( I haven't figured out who he is yet) maybe a son of George S.?
1912-1953BIOGRAPHY: From Marilee Cahoon - July 2009 - I went on Family Search last night and saw the info. on Ann Brandham. She has got to be out there somewhere. I noticed there was a Laura Thomas that submitted the info. so I have a letter ready to send off to her today. Hopefully she still lives at the same address. I guess we will wait and see. There has got to be a whole other Brandham line. Alot of them were born in North Dakota and she was born in Manti which is confusing to me. She would be about the same age as Jabez and Mary Summerill children who died here. I have found three siblings of Jabez and Mary which are buried here. I wonder if her father is the brother of Jabez. I will keep on looking.
