DEATH: Rites Held Today for Orem Man
Orem - Funeral services were held at the Olpin Family Mortuary in Provo this afternoon for Martell Roland Rudd, 58, 1042 S. State, Orem.
Mr. Rudd died Tuesday at the Utah Valley Hospital of natural causes.
He was born Feb. 20, 1911 in Junction, Piute County, a son of Eugene and Elizabeth Barnson Rudd. He married Radia Eggleston on April 14, 1934 in Junction.
Mr. Rudd had worked for the US Steel Corp for five years at Geneva, later becoming employed with Orem City on the Street Department. He also had been employed at Carpenter's Boat Camp at Strawberry Reservoir.
He was a member of the Orem LDS 20th Ward at the time of his death.
Surviving are his widow of Orem; one son and three daughters, Arvin E. Rudd, Moab; Mrs. Frank (Connie) Rohbock and Mrs. Don (Elizabeth) Willingham, both of Orem; and Mrs. DeLoy (Radia) Larsen, Preston, Ida; 14 grandchildren; his mother, Orem; and one brother and four sisters, Calvin E. Rudd and Mrs. Darrell K. (Rosetta) Kay, both of Salt Lake City; Mrs. LaVern Richardson, Sandy; Mrs. LaVere (Lyda) Fullmer, Orem; and Mrs. Steve (Theda) Sankovich, McGill, Nev.
Burial was in Timpanogos Memorial Gardens in Orem.

Radia Eggleston Rudd, 79, died December 26, 1990 in Orem, Utah. Funeral services were at the Orem Lakeridge 4th LDS Ward Chapell. Burial was in the Timpanogos Memorial Gardens, Orem.
She was born November 27, 1911, in Grover, Wyoming, a daughter of Orson Burgess and Annie Marie Petersen Eggleston. She married Martell Roland Rudd April 14, 1934. He died February 17, 1970.
She received her education in the Grove schools. She cooked for the June Smart Ranch in Cokeville, Wyoming. Following her marriage she and her husband moved to Oakdale, California and later to Ely and then Eureka, Nevada. Then she came to Utah and lived in Riverton and later Utah County. She has resided in Orem for the past 34 years.
She was employed with Rohbock and Sons Floral for many years until 1985.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed handiwork, fishing and the outdoors.
She is survived by one son and three daughters, Arvin E. Rudd, Huntington; Connie R. Rohbock, Mrs. Don H. (Elizabeth Ann) Willingham, both of Orem; Radia R. Marx, Price; 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters, Grant Eggleston, Newbury Park, California, Mrs. Ivan (Marie) Toburen, Cheyenne; Mrs. Lester (Opal) Taylor, Glendo, Wyoming.
