Ada E. Coles

Our loving mother and grandmother, Ada Elison Coles, passed away June 13, 1993 in Ogden, Utah after a long illness.

Born November 19, 1907 in Blackfoot, Idaho, a daughter of William and Margaret Callister Elison. Married Herschel Coles on June 20, 1934 in the Logan LDS Temple. He preceded her in death August 22, 1978.Member of the LDS Church serving in various positions. Educated in Blackfoot, Idaho. She loved music, flowers and handwork, and was a devoted grandmother.

Her survivors include a son, Floyd (Ruthmary) Coles of Cedar City, Utah; three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Loa Jean) Geltz of Audubon, Pennsylvania; Mrs. Ron (Louise) Horton of Pleasant View, Utah; and Mrs. Brent (Marjorie) Trimble of Centerville, Utah; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Golden Elison and Bernell Elison, both of Blackfoot, Idaho; and Wilford Elison of Missoula, Montana; one sister, Rella Sproul of Layton, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 15, 1993, 11 a.m. in the Payson 8th Ward, 780 West 500 South, Payson, Utah, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Payson City Cemetery.

Wednesday Rites Set For Resident Of Payson, 83

PAYSON, UT., - Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline Schwab Schramm, 83, who died Saturday at her home, will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the First LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call Tuesday evening at the Valley Mortuary and Wednesday at the family home. Burial will be in Payson Cemetery.

Mrs. Schramm was born May 7, 1871, at Shuttgart, Germany, the daughter of Martin and Pauline Schmid Schwab, and came to Payson from Germany in 1888. She married Ferdinand A. Schramm April 13, 1892, in the Manti LDS Temple. Mr. Schramm died a year ago.

Survivors include two sons, Martin and Karl Schramm, both of Payson; five daughters, Mrs. Ruby Braithwaite, Mrs. Myrtle Beeman, Elsie Schramm, Mrs. Pauline Young, Payson and Mrs. Leona Metcalf, Granger; 37 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; a brother and two sisters.

Eugene G. Braithwaite

Funeral services for Eugene Glen Braithwaite, 56, of Montrose, Colorado, who died Friday, July 15, 1977 in Payson, Utah, will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Payson Second LDS Ward Chapel.

Born November 9, 1920 in Payson, Utah to Eugene and Ruby Schramm Braithwaite, he married Genevieve Kopp on May 13, 1944 in Santa Ana, California. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. She died June 21, 1975.

Mr. Braithwaite was a range conservationist for the Bureau of Land Management.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters, Eugene G. Braithwaite, Jr., Cyprus, California; Mrs. Nathan (Mary Adele) Black and John Herman Braithwaite, both of Montrose, Colorado; Mrs. Dale (Anne) Erickson, Timothy Braithwaite, both of Provo; seven grandchildren; parents of Payson; one brother and three sisters, Mrs. Don L. Braithwaite, Perry, Box Elder County, Utah; Mrs. Kenneth (Ruby Marie) Simmons, El Monte, California; Mrs. Anna Mae Schroemges and Mrs. David (Mary Lou) Daley, both of Payson.

Friends may call at Rigby Mortuary tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock and Tuesday before services. Burial will be in Payson City Cemetery.


Norma Johnson

PERRY - Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, Norma Johnson Braithwaite, 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 18, 2013 with her family at her side. She was born on August 7, 1923 along with her twin brother, Alma Carl in Benjamin, Utah, a daughter of Alma Joel and Ruth Selin Johnson. She was the fourth of ten children and raised on the family farm. She graduated from Spanish Fork High School, and attended LDS Business College. Norma married her sweetheart, Don L Braithwaite on December 12, 1945 in the Logan LDS Temple. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church where she served as President of the Primary, Young Women's, and Relief Society. She and Don were ordinance workers in the Ogden Temple and served in the Macon Georgia Mission from 1991-1992. Norma loved being a mother and grandmother. She will always be remembered for her beautiful flower gardens, excellent cooking and especially for her delicious cookies. She loved sewing and made a quilt for each of her grandchildren. Norma loved to be of service to others. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Access Home Health and Hospice for their tender care of Norma the past few months. Surviving are her husband, Don; five children, JoAnn (Sam) Kunzler; David (Lani) Braithwaite; Nila (Karlan) Forsberg; Norval Braithwaite; Barry (Karen) Braithwaite; 35 grandchildren, 72 great grandchildren, three sisters, Nadene Tuft, Carolyn Pass, Barbara Gleave and one brother, Hal Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Fred Braithwaite, two grandsons, one great grandson, one sister, Edith Olson and four brothers, Mack, Dean, Alma, and Paul Johnson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Perry LDS 3rd Ward Chapel, 1308 West 2950 South. Viewing will be held on Friday, Jan. 25 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, Utah and on Saturday at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Willard City Cemetery.
