Braithwaite Deceased Relatives

Notes

John da Rosa Soares

John was in the mob. He kept notebooks written in Portugees of everything he witnessed. He had a stash of guns in his upstairs closet that are belived to have been from a gun hist in Providence, and that many of them were used in mob hits. His job in the mob was to clean up after the other members and fix the bullet holes.

He was a master mechanic  and body man. He massaged metal back into shape when possible rather than replacing it. One day the shop ran out off sheet metal and he needed to remake a fender for a car. He went to the hardware store and bought two galvanized garbage cans and made the fender from them. The office manager was confused, he found the lids but couldn't figure out where the cans were. John pointed to the freshly painted car and told him they were right in front of him.

When he would get paid it was with two envelopes. The first contained his paycheck. The second contained cash for his "fixer" work. The check went into the bank. The cash was put into the safe concreted in the basement.

John said toward the end to bury him face down so he was pointed in the right direction when he died. He was mean and obstenant toward the end. The last nine years he refused to alow the house to be cleaned at all. A thick film of grime covered everything. The white stove was dark brown. There was enough dog hair on the floor to make a dozen Mastifs, and he only had a small pug at the end.

He had kept  doves, finches, rabbits, and dogs.
