Hazel Leavitt Knighton
OGDEN, UT., - Hazel Leavitt Knighton, 78, Ogden, died Monday, May 24, 1963, in Ogden of a coronary ailment.
Mrs. Knighton was born in Ogden, June 16, 1885. She married June 30, 1908 to Sam Henry Knighton of Ogden.
Survivors include sons, George C. Knighton and Sam C. Knighton, Pocatello; Wendell H. Knighton, McGill, Nevada; Wayne L. Knighton, Boise and William H. Knighton, Sparks, Nevada; daughters, Mrs. Blanche Bennett, McGill, Nevada; Mrs. Hazel Braithwaite, Boise; Mrs. Kathryn Foster, Boise and Mrs. Virginia Lewis, Iverness, Florida; brothers, Henry Leavitt, Ogden; Lawrence Leavitt, North Hollywood, California; and sisters, Mrs. Blanche Carlson, Alameda, California; Mrs. Rita Wood and Mrs. Thelma Amidan, Ogden.
Mrs. Knighton had 30 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Ely, Neveda at 2 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be at Ely City Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Myers Mortuary, Ogden.
