SUNSET, UT., - Mrs. Charlotte Gates Horne, 68, of Salina, died Wednesday at the home of a daughter in Sunset after a long illness.
Mrs. Horne was born May 8, 1902, in Salina, Utah, a daughter of Hyrum Smith and Harriet Heath Gates.
She was married to Horace James Horne on November 19, 1924, in Manti, Utah.
She was a member of the LDS Church, DUP and American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are her husband, one son and daughters, Ralph H., Orem; Mrs. Byron (Elaine) Allred, Salina; Mrs. Wallace (Evelyn) Braithwaite, Sunset; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, the following sisters: Mrs. Dora Christensen, Mrs. Wilford (Mary) Neilson; Mrs. Roy (Hilda) Sheilds, all of Salina; Mrs. George (Helen) Swain, Holden, Utah.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. in the Salina 2nd LDS Ward Chapel.
Friends may call at the Warren R. Jensen Funeral Home in Salina Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday two hours prior to services. Burial in East Side Cemetery in Salina.
