Ethel Gwen Linnebach

1Obituaries - Deseret Newspaper (ONLINE), 2009. "Ethel Gwen Linnebach Cottle age 63 passed away peacefully on June 27, 2004 in her Pleasant Grove home surrounded by her husband and children who lovingly attended to her. Our sweet wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend exercised great faith while enduring and courageously battling cancer.
She was born May 30, 1941 in South Salt Lake City to Arthur and Ethel Linnebach. Gwen married Darwin W. Cottle Jan. 14, 1960 in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized March 18, 1961 in the St. George LDS Temple. They recently celebrated their 44th anniversary.
Her great love and willingness to serve others was a blessing in the lives of those she touched. She gave a lifetime of service to her husband, children and to her Heavenly Father. Her children, whom she considers her
"jewels", are following her example of love and service. Through her suffering, she taught like the Savior. She showed great courage, patience, endurance, exceeding faith and charity for all she knew. Her influence for good was felt in the way she treated others with love, dignity and respect. Her favorite things were family, church, music, patriotism, arts and crafts, reading, and creating a beautifully decorated home with her talents and hard work. She was passionate about Heavenly Father's beautiful landscapes: the flowers, the changing seasons, the mountains, the sun, the sky, the lakes and oceans in all of their heartwarming sketches. She also enjoyed the BYU Cougars, Utah Jazz, Sunday family dinners, and all holidays. Having been our powerful teacher in gospel principles and having fulfilled the measure of her creation, it is now her time to rejoin loved ones on the other side of the veil. For this we rejoice and call her blessed.
Gwen was preceded in death by her father, mother and beloved brother, Gary. She is survived by her cherished husband, Darwin and eight children: Darrin Cottle, Pam (Todd) Robinson, David (Sharla) Cottle, Pleasant Grove; Craig (Jana) Cottle, Orem; Angela (Roger) Baker, Erda, UT; Jeff (Camille) Cottle, Lehi; Marci (Dave) Smith, Highland and Nathan (Sara) Cottle, American Fork; 33 grandchildren; Brother Glen (Beverly) Linnebach; and sisters Lois (Charles) Rampton, Carol (Cecil) Tycksen, Diane (Max) Bleckert, Maureen (Gerald) Gritton and all who dearly love her.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday June 30, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the Pleasant Grove East Stake Center, 825 S. Loader Drive (approx. 1030 East), Pleasant Grove. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East Pleasant Grove and at the church Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to funeral services. Interment, Lindon City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinfamilymortuary.com.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Hospice of Utah and staff. Thank you Amanda and Verna.
May god bless all the dear sweet sisters that attended to our mother during her time of need.
  We love you!!!."
