Bruce Leon Ludlow
Bruce Leon Ludlow passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on February 27, 2008.
He was born November 21, 1966 in Payson, Utah to Allen Ludlow and Deon Ludlow. He was raised in Leland, Utah and resided there his entire life.
He was a graduate of Spanish Fork High School and obtained his Journeyman in Sheetmetal/HVAC through the Utah Technical College.
He married his best friend and sweetheart, Stacy Joy Reynolds on November 22, 1991 in Benjamin, Utah and together they had their precious daughter, Nicole.
Bruce was a member of the Utah Sheet Metalworker Local Union #312 for 23 years. He also owned and operated Bruce Ludlow Trucking, as his true love was owning, maintaining, and operating "big rigs". His pride in having his name on the door was evident. His trucks were always clean and polished and always had his special touch.
From the time he was big enough to walk, he was by his Dad's side working on the family farm. He could always be found on the fender of the tractor. If he got a little tired, the ditch bank was a great napping place. Working by his side, Bruce formed a very special bond with his father.
Bruce was a perfectionist in all that he did. He was proud of his appearance and never went anywhere without his shirt tucked in and his hair combed. His grass was always the greenest in the neighborhood and his vehicles spotless. He was a man of great integrity and his work ethic was exceptional. He had a knack for fixing anything and solving any problem. He was known for his sense of humor and teasing ways. Bruce always tried to make you laugh. If he teased you, it meant he liked you.
Bruce's passions in life were spending time with his wife and daughter, camping, hunting, boating, jeeping/4 wheeling, farming, and spending countless hours at the ballpark. He loved working with metal and was a talented welder. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by his wife, Stacy and daughter, Nicole; his mother, Deon; two brothers and three sisters, Lance (Julie) Ludlow, Nephi; Lori (Ron) Whitehead, Santa Clara; Lana (Ryan) Nielsen, Spanish Fork; Chris (Sueann) Ludlow, Spanish Fork; Shannon (Daniel) Whitelock, Benjamin; and many nieces and nephews who adored him. He is also survived by his in-laws, Lindon and Joy Reynolds; brothers-in-law, Shawn (Stacy) Reynolds; Chris (Marcy) Reynolds; Jeremy Reynolds; sisters-in-law, Jodie (Rhett) Davis; and Jenny (Nate) Cluff.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Allen Ludlow; grandparents, Glen and Mary Ludlow; Leon and Hazel Mortensen; and a nephew, Blake Ludlow.
Goodbye our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. May we be comforted in knowing you are at peace and reunited with your father. You were a true country gentleman. You will truly be missed by many.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Spanish Fork West Stake Center, 360 North 650 West, Spanish Fork. Family and friends may call on Friday evening, February 29, 2008 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork or on Saturday morning at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery."
