Tuttle, prominent merchant and banker, and the surviving member of the Mormon Battallion in this city, passed peacefully away at 5:20 o'clock Monday morning June 12, 1916 at the family residence after an illness of ten days which developed into pneumonia, the direct cause of her death.

She was the daughter of Chelnecha Smith and Madison Daniel Hambleton, original pioneers of Utah, being the thired white child and the second girl born in the state of Utah. She was born in Salt Lake City March 24th, 1818. The family moved to Sanpete in 1819, locating in Manti.

She was married to Francis Mariion Jolley September 3, 1865 in Moroni. They settled in Manti and endured all the hardships incident to pioneer life. Seven children came to bless this uniion, three of whom are living. She also raised her son's family. Bereft of a mother's love and care, the three little girl's readily found a place in her heart and home.

She was called as a worked in the Manti Temple which duty she performed regularly for two years and which position she held at the time of her death.

She was married to Luther T. Tuttle October 31, 1907, devoting her time to making his decling years happy.

Sister Jolley Tuttle, familiarly known as Aunt Necha, died as she had lived, a true and faithful Latter-day Saint.

There were few like her, Charitable, hospitable, kind, cheerful and always ready to extend the hand of sympathy and help to those in need and trouble, no difference who or what they were. At her home a hearty welcome was extended alike to friend and stranger. She shared the joys and sorrows of the young and old. She was a most devoted wife and mother, a loving daughter, a true pioneer and a loyal Latter-day Saint, beloved by all.

She is survived by her husband Luther T. Tuttle, three children, Francis Marion Jolley of Talmage, Utah, Mrs. Delphia Jolley McDonald of Heber, Utah, fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, three sisters, Jerusha Hambleton Boswell, of Nephi, Utah; Lucy Ann Hambleton Wolf, Hyde Park, Cache County; Mrs. H. F. Black, Vollmer, Idaho; and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held yesterday in the Tabernacle.

Those from out of town attending the funeral were: Mrs. Jerusha Boswell and Mrs. Edward Bowles, Nephi, Mrs. Necha Boswell, Oregon; Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Hardy Jr., Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. James X. McDonald, Heber, Mrs. E. T. An auto load of floral offerings accompanied the funeral cortege."
