Gladys was born April 26, 1902 in Manti. She married Bryant Andrew Nelson on Nov. 14, 1921 in the Manti LDS Temple. Surviving children are: Dora Dean N. Snow, Salt Lake City, Bryant Glade Nelson (Becky) of Clawson, James F. Nelson (Catherine), Earl Ray Nelson, of Ferron. A posterity of 27 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren, and 32 great- great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Helen N. Sorensen who resides at the Emery County Care and Rehab in Ferron.
Preceded in death are LaRue N. Petitti (John J.) Price, Glenna twin to Glade and Joseph twin to James.
She raised her children during the great depression, the welfare of her family was her priority. She always had animals and a large garden to care for. Gladys made many quilts and crocheted many lovely and useful items. She served as visiting teacher, Sunday school teacher, counselor in the relief society and President of the Young Womens MIA.
Mother had many lifelong friends, her home was always open to friends and family. She and Bryant loved to camp and fish.
In November 1997, Gladys moved into Turnquist Retreat at Elmo under the wonderful care of Caleen and Butch Wilcox and their caring staff.
Funeral services will be held in the Ferron Blue Hills LDS Ward at 35 West 200 North State Street on Thur. March 10, 2005. Viewing from 10:30 -11:30 a.m. and funeral services at noon. Interment in the Ferron City cemetery." Emery County Progress newspaper.

Sherril Junior Snow

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Sherril Junior Snow, age 72, passed away March 22, 1997, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Sherril was born July 16, 1924, in Orangeville, Utah, the son of George William Jr. and Marie Vilate Anderson Snow. He married Dora Dean Nelson on October 14, 1945 in Ferron, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.Sherril graduated from Central High School in Castle Dale, Utah in 1942. He was a welder in the Alemeda Ship Yard during WWII. Retired from Kennecott Copper in 1980 as a foreman in the Acid Plant at the smelter of Kennecott Copper Corp. Member of the LDS Church were he was serving as a home teacher. He enjoyed working with his hands doing cement, brick, and woodwork.

Enjoyed reading Louis L' Amour and listening to Big Band Music, playing cards with Dora Dean at the kitchen table, spending time with his family especially dinners under his apricot tree. A favorite memory of his was their 50th wedding anniversary family vacation.

Sherril was a kind and loving individual who was respected and admired by all who knew him. Sherril's passing saddens our hearts and leaves a great void in our lives.

Survivors include his wife, Dora Dean, Holladay, UT; one daughter and three sons, Joyce (Owen) Howell, Riverton, UT; Stephen (Tamara) Snow, Cottonwood, UT; Gary (Jenny) Snow, Holladay, UT; Jeff (Tina) Snow, Yuma, AZ; 15 grandchildren; three great- granddaughters; one sister, Elva Roper, Kenilworth, UT; one brother, Sheldon (Marcia) Snow, Orangeville, UT.

Preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters, Ruel Snow, Zella Snow, Janet Anderson, Ruby Dutton.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 1997, 12 noon, at the Rosecrest First Ward, 3101 South 2300 East. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church on Wednesday for one hour prior to the services.

Funeral services for Illa Mary Olsen will be held Thursday, December 21, 1972 in the Ephraim North Ward at 1:00 p.m. Viewing will be at the church from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Mrs. Olsen died at the Salt Lake LDS Hospital of natural causes December 18, 1972. She was 73 years. old.

She was born in Ephraim October 14, 1899 to Andrew Peter Peterson (Pete Briggs) and Anne Christine Peterson. She married Rasmus Oli Olsen January 20, 1920 in Logan, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.

Mrs. Olsen was a member of the Ephraim LDS North Ward, past president of the Primary, MIA and a teacher in the Sunday School and Relief Society.

She is survived by her husband; one son and three daughters, Leon Olsen, Ephraim; Mrs. Lyman (Eva) Peterson, Mrs. Elmer (Fern) Denison, both Salt Lake City; Mrs. Gus (Betty) Erickson, Venice, Utah; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ralph E. This fruit ranch was Mae's home until she married her high school sweetheart, Verd Merril Hansen, in Richfield on Aug. 27, 1927. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS temple one year later and he preceded her in death March 16, 1970. In Monroe she raised her family, was active and held positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, participated in community clubs and activities, and worked for the Western Creamery Company and later for Monroe City. Mae loved Monroe, beautiful flowers and children.
