Howard Joseph Ludwig
Howard Joseph Ludwig, age 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family November 15, 2001 in West Valley City, Utah of natural causes.
Born March 29, 1917 in Castle Gate, UT son of Bernard Peter Ludwig and Ethyl Isles Church. Married Leola Winn Aug 30, 1940 in Castle Gate, UT. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple in 1945. She preceded him in death Nov 12, 1999.
As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in many callings, including a mission with his wife in the Texas, Ft. Worth Mission. He dedicated his later years to temple work serving in the Salt Lake Temple and then the Jordan River Temple for more than 30 years.
The family expresses gratitude to Dr. Gandolfi, Dr. Gleason, and the staff of the Cardiac Care Unit at Pioneer Valley Hospital for the kind and gentle care given Dad.
Survived by children, Ruby Ann Ludwig, West Valley City, Judy (Bill) Funk, West Valley City, Paul (Linda) Ludwig, West Jordan, Keith (Christine) Ludwig, South Jordan; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by, parents, brother, sister, and one granddaughter.
Services will be Tues. Nov 20, 2001, 12 noon, Hunter 23rd Ward Chapel, 3665 S. 6000 W. Friends may call Mon. 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Rd, and Tues. at the church one hour prior to services. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park."

Leola Winn Ludwig
Leola Winn Ludwig, age 79, passed away November 12, 1999 at her home in West Valley City, Utah.
Born March 7, 1920 in Manti, Utah, daughter of Eden Lorus and Ruby Merriam Winn. Married Howard J. Ludwig August 30, 1940, in Castlegate, Utah; sealed in Manti LDS Temple March 12, 1946.
Lifelong active member of LDS Church serving in Primary, Sunday School and Young Women program, but Relief Society was her big love. She served as counselor several times and as president of the Hunter 1st Ward. She and her husband served as missionaries in the Texas Ft Worth Mission from October 1989 to August 1990. Prior to her mission and since her return, she has faithfully served in the Jordan River LDS Temple. She blessed many lives with her acts of kindness and compassionate service. She will be lovingly remembered by many who received the quilted and embroidered quilts; with her husband's help she has prepared a quilt for each of her grandchildren to remember her.
Survived by her husband, Howard; children, Ruby A. Ludwig, West Valley City; Judy (Bill) Funk, West Valley City; Paul (Linda) Ludwig, West Jordan; Keith (Christine) Ludwig, South Jordan; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Marjorie W. Howlett, Price; brothers, Ray (Bonnie) Winn, Holladay; Robert L. Winn, St. George. Preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law and a baby granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m. at the Hunter 23rd Ward, 3665 South 6000 West. Friends may call Monday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Tuesday at the church one hour prior to services. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park."

Ingborg [Ingerborg] Ahlstrom
Ingborg [Ingerborg] Ahlstrom, an old lady 84 years of age, died on Tuesday evening.
She was a native of Denmark and the mother of Peter Ahlstrom, one of our well known citizens who labors in the Temple.
She was born May 10th, 1810, died April 10th, 1894. She received the Gospel in Malma [Malmö], Sweden, in 1853, emigrated to America in 1855, in company with Prest. Canute Peterson.
She has been a faithful Latter-day Saint to the time of her death. The remains were interred in the city cemetery."

Horace Albert Chapman Sr., age 60, of 3381 South Main, Bountiful, died April 14, 1975 in the Salt Lake LDS Hospital of causes related to cancer.
He was born to Horace Albert and Faye G. Bratton Chapman on August 19, 1914 at Decatur, Illinois. He married Ruth Belka on February 5, 1938 at Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Mr. Chapman was an engineer for the UPRR for 27 years. He was a member of the LDS Church. He was a former member of the Elks Club.
He is survived by his wife, son and daughters: Horace Albert Chapman Jr., Bountiful; Rumel (Carla) Kimball, Bountiful; Mrs. David (Dorothy) Ewing of Woods Cross; Mrs. Earl (Mary) Nelson, Ferron, Utah; Mrs. John (Ketheleen) Busch and Mrs. Michael (Peggy) France, both of Salt Lake City; 21 grandchildren.
Also brothers and sister: Barney Chapman and Mrs. LeRoy (Rebecca) Anthony both of Salt Lake City; William Chapman, Sacramento, California and Hyrum Wesley Chapman who is servicng in the US Navy.
A viewing was held for Mr. Chapman at the Bountiful Union Mortuary on Wednesday, April 16, 1975 from 6-8 p.m. and at the Orchard Ward Chapel one hour prior to the service. Memorial services were held Thursday at noon at the Orchard Second Ward Chapel.
Interment was at Redwood Memorial Estates. Funeral directors, Russon Brothers, Bountiful Union Mortuary."

She was born April 10, 1920 in Manti, Utah to Ellen Shoemaker and Miles Braithwaite. She married Leonard Madsen, March 21, 1940, he died November 15, 1970. She married Wesley Mogle, April 14, 1973. For many years Ardeth worked as a seamstress at the sewing plant in Manti and later in life enjoyed traveling and spending time with her husband.She is survived by her husband, Wes; children: Douglas Lee R. Madsen, Kenneth (Sally) Boht, both of Layton; Sharon (Richard) Bjerregaard, Greenwood, IN; Michael K. (Crystal) Madsen, West Jordan; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirleen (Boyd) Peterson, of Ephraim; Barbara (Jesse Lou) Bradley, of Taylorsville; brother, Dean (Bertha) Braithwaite, of Coalville.
