The oldest child a son is 21 years old and the youngest child a girl is four months.

The family has lived in Manti all their married life except one year spent in Oregon. Mr. Steck has spent most of his life herding sheep and has a reputation of being a faithful, constant and dependable flock master. He is survived by his wife and eight children, three brothers, James F., Hyrum and Joseph, all of Manti and four sisters, Mrs. Trena Shand of Manti, Mrs. Mary Reese, Mrs. E. E. Reese both of Idaho and Mrs. Elvina Thomas of Salt Lake all of whom were here to attend the funeral.

Mrs. Carolina Hansen, a cousin and son and his wife all of Spanish Fork, Elmer Anderson of Idaho, as well as a number of relatives from Sterling were in attendance at the funeral.

Services were held in the tabernacle Monday afternoon under the directions of Bishopo J. B. Jacobson. The choir was present and rendered the singing. C. P. Larsen offered the invocation, Conrad Frischknecht, Ezra Shomaker, Bishop N. R. Peterson, Lee Hall and Bishop Jacobson offered words of consolation and spoke ______ of the deceased. ____ _____sang a solo.

The benediction was offered by Andrew Peterson and the grave at the cemetery was dedicated by Mayor Ernest Madsen.
