Services Held For Ed Denison

Edward Denison, 56, died at his home here Saturday.

He was born in Manti, August 10, 1889, a son of Hans and Agnes Braithwaite. He married Ines Edwards in the Manti Temple. Mrs. Denison died in September, 1944.

Surviving are seven sons and daughters, Wallace and John Denison, Manti; LaMar Denison, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Ruth Brox, Los Angeles; Russell Denison, army in Oklahoma; Mrs. Reva Manos, Spokane, Washington; Bennie Denison, navy; two sisters: Mrs. Myrtle Jensen, Sterling, and Mrs. Malinda Jensen, Sterling; three brothers, Hyrum Denison, Delta; Forest Denison, Sterling; and Lien Denison, Provo.

Funeral services were conducted in the Manti South Ward by Bishop Ernest Mickelson."

Death Takes Mrs. Ina Edwards Denison

Funeral services for Mrs. Ina Ruth Edwards Denison, who died September 25, 1943 in a Salt Lake hospital, were conducted Wednesday in the South Ward Chapel.

Mrs. Denison was born in Sterling, August 8, 1888, a daughter of Harrison M. and Naomi Padris Edwards. She went to Salt Lake City a year ago and prior to death was employed as a packer at Hill Field, Davis County. She was a member of the LDS Church and had been active in Sterling and Manti. She was well known in musical circles of Sanpete County.

Surviving are her husband, five sons, M. LaMar; Wallace E.; Bennie; John C. of Salt Lake City, and Russell H. at Camp Beal, California; two daughters, Ruth A. Cox, Los Angeles; and Reva Denison, Salt Lake City; two brothers, H. M. Edwards, Sterling, and Solon Edwards, San Bernardino,California; two sisters, Rosella Potter, Salt Lake City, and Arsenath Peacock, Sterling, and 11 grandchildren."

Former Resident Dies Near Delta; Funeral Friday at 1

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 13, 1967 at 1 p.m. in the Buchanan Mortuary for Wallace E. Denison, 51, who died Monday, Januray 9, 1967 at 10 a.m. of heart failure. Place of death was listed as 50 miles west of Delta.

Mr. Denison was born August 24, 1915 at Sterling, Utah, son of Edward and Ina Ruth Edwards Denison. He married LaVinia Cahoon in April, 1937. They were divorced. In August 1948, he married Clara Tichelmann in Salt Lake City.

He was a member of the LDS Church.

Survivors include his wife; 3 daughters, Dianne, Carol and Sharon, by his first marriage; brothers, LeMar Denison, Price; Russell, Lawton, Oklahoma; Ben, Las Cruces, New Mexico; John, Spokane, Washington; sisters, Mrs. Stanley (Ruth) Brox, Manti; and Mrs. Hal (Reva) Manos, Spokane, Washington.

Viewing will be held on the day of rites from 10:30 a.m. until just prior to services. Burial will be in the Sterling Cemetery."

A member of the LDS Church, she served in the Relief Society presidency, Primary and Sunday School and with the Singing Mothers. She was a member of the Sterling Camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

Survivors include her husband, four sons and a daughter: Emerson Jenen, Manti; Lenn Jensen, Ephraim; Nels Jensen, Magna; Rodney Lee Jensen, Granger; Mrs. Rodney (Vivian) Childs, Centerfield; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Forest Denison, Sterling, and Leon Denison, Mt. Pleasant.

Child Buried At Sterling

Funeral services were held Saturday in the Sterling Chapel for Gail R. Denison, eight year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Myrland Denison, who died at the family residence July 23, 1931 of heart trouble.

The speakers were Harold Hanson, G. W. Bradley, Bishop Ludvigson, of Sterling and Principal I. E. Iverson of Ephraim. Edith Swenson, an aunt of the deceased, gave a reading. Music was furnished by the ward choir and six members of the Primary Class of the Sunday School.

He is survvied by his parents and four brothers and sistrs, Donna, Homer, Dick, and infant sister; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Swensen of Hinckley, Mrs. Agnes Denison of Sterling and a great-grandmother, Mrs. A. Lowry also of Sterling."
