WelcomeThe Richard Brough Family Organization (RBFO) is one of the oldest and largest ancestral family organizations in the world. Since 1969, the RBFO, as an incorporated U.S. non-profit tax-exempt family history and genealogical organization, has conducted extensive research on the genealogies and histories of the Broughs of the British Isles--with specific emphasis on the ancestors, descendants and relatives of Richard Brough (1786-1873) and Mary Horleston (1799-1879) of Staffordshire, England. Today there are thousands of descendants of the Broughs of the British Isles living throughout the world, and the RBFO has active members in many countries--including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia. Also, the RBFO website is recognized by FamilySearch, and thousands of people visit the RBFO website every month. Since the 1890's, Brough Family Reunions have been held in Utah, USA. On August 5-6, 2005, the RBFO held an International Brough Reunion in northern Utah; and on August 9, 2008, the RBFO held an International Brough Reunion in Meerbrook, England. Future International Brough Reunions are planned for 2010 in the USA and 2012 in Australia. Currently, the RBFO supports an International Brough DNA Genealogy Project, conducts extensive research on many Brough families and their ancestors and descendants on three continents, produces genealogical and historical publications and videos, and preserves ancient family documents.
