Famous "Brough" Politicians of America

     There are a number of "famous"--or well-known--"Brough" politicians who left a positive mark upon America's political history. Three of these individuals are shown below and are as follows: 1) John Brough (1811-1865)--who served as the "Civil War Governor" of Ohio--and whose Brough ancestry extends back to England in the early 1600's; 2) Charles Hillman Brough (1876-1935)--who served as the 25th Governor of Arkansas--and whose Brough ancestry extends back to Pennsylvania in the early 1800's; and 3) Alexander Brough (born 1863)--who served as a Magistrate in New York City and as a New York state politician--and whose Brough ancestry extends back to Scotland in the early 1700's.
