GRC specializes in the British Isles, North America
and Australia
Genealogical Research Consultants (GRC)
provides quality genealogical research at reasonable prices. Because of
our expertise, independent structure and low overhead, we can begin and
report on research projects for as little as $50--or two hours of research
at $25 per hour.
GRC researchers specialize in conducting
genealogical research in English-speaking areas with particular emphasis
on the British Isles, North America and Australia. (Requests for genealogical
research in non-English speaking areas are usually contracted out at different
fees to other genealogists who specialize in these areas.) Our genealogists
have access to the world's largest genealogical and family history repository:
the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. In addition, our worldwide
network of professional associates allows us to conduct searches of original
or unpublished genealogical and historical records in most English-speaking
areas of the world. (However, searches in Western Europe and Australia
can cost more than $25.00 per hour.)

General Pricing and Services
In order to provide our clients with quality
research at reasonable prices, we constantly strive to keep our overhead
costs at a minimum. Therefore, we ask our clients to do the following:
1) When contacting us, please do so by email
or surface mail. Payments must be made to GRC by check or money order
in increments of $25.00 (for one hour of research) with a minimum of $50
(for two hours of research) for each new research request.
2) All research requests must include a
printed pedigree chart or family group record with at least a brief description
or explanation of what is wanted. Clients will be billed for the following
expenses. 1) $25.00 per hour for research and reporting time; 2) all photocopying
expenses; 3) all disketts; 4) all mailing costs.
GRC tries to respond to all research requests within thirty days after
receiving them. However, extensive research requests can take as long
as ninety days before GRC issues a client report.
Finally, GRC can order birth, marriage and
death certificates from the British Isles and Australia (which current
costs between $15 to $30 per certificate). However, because of the variability
of prices for such certificates, it's recommended that interested clients
email GRC to obtain the latest costs for such certificates.
