Eva Nell Tipton was born on 2 October 1867 in West Porterville, Morgan, Utah. In the 1870 Census--taken on 23 June 1870--Eva is listed as being 2 years old, and in the 1880 Census--taken on 11 June 1880--she is listed as being 12 years old, which strongly suggests that she was born prior to June 11-23, 1868. In the 1900 Census, Eva is listed as being born in October 1867. Unfortunately, Eva's death certificate contains several errors, such as stating the following: 1) that she was born on 2 October 1868 in Weber, Rich Co., Utah--which is a mistake as Weber is not in Rich Co., and she was born on 2 October 1867 in West Porterville, Morgan, Utah; 2) that her father was Enoch Tipton who was born in Wales--which is another mistake as Enoch was born in Shropshire, England; and 3) that her mother was Elizabeth Bruff who was born in England--which is a spelling mistake as Elizabeth's surname was Brough.
Eva Nell Tipton's surname is “Tipton” and not “Typton”. While she was alive she and her father (Enoch Tipton) personally identified their surname as "Tipton. Also, Eva's surname is recorded as “Tipton” in the 1870 and 1880 U.S. Census and in her 1887 Utah marriage record to John Garr Snowball. In addition, Eva's surname is recorded as "Tipton" in Utah church records; her 1947 Idaho death record lists her father's surname as "Tipton"; and the surname of Eva's aunts, uncles and grandparents in Illinois and England is repeatedly listed as "Tipton".
Eva Nell Tipton's middle name is listed as "Nell" in most family records--including the fact that she named her first child and daughter, Jennie "Nell" Snowball. However, the Utah marriage index does list Eva's middle as "Neil". The Brough Family Organization has used the middle name of "Nell" for Eva Nell Tipton because it is used most often in family records and among most family members.
In the 1870 U.S. Census, "Eva Tipton" is listed as being 2 years old (born about 1868) born in Utah, and residing with her parents, Enoch and Elizabeth Tipton, and her older stepsister, Josephine, in Morgan, Utah.
In the 1880 U.S. Census , "Eve Tipton" is listed as being 12 years old (born about 1868), born in Utah, and residing with her parents, Enoch and Elizabeth Tipton, and her older stepsister, Josephine Tipton, and her younger brother, William Enoch Tipton, in Kaysville, Utah.
The 1887 marriage of "John Garr Snowball" and "Eva Neil Tipton" is listed in the online "Western Sates Marriage Record Index", which states that they were married on 10 September 1887 in Randolph, Rich, Utah. Online source:

In the 1920 U.S. Census, "Eva Snowball" is listed as being 49 years old (born about 1871), born in Utah, married and residing with her husband, John Snowball (age 52), and their three children (Clifford--age 23, Grace--age 16, and Gladys--age 14), in Moreland, Bingham, Idaho.
In the 1940 U.S. Census, "Eva Thompson" is listed as being 73 years old (born about 1867), born in Utah, a "Widow", and residing with her widowed brother, William Enoch Tipton (age 67), in Blackfoot City, Bingham, Utah.
The 1947 death record of "Eva Snowball Thompson" is listed in the online "Idaho Death Index, 1890-1962", which states that she that she died on 27 March 1947 in Blackfoot, Bingham, Idaho; that she was born on 2 October 1868 in Weber, Rich Co., Utah--which is a mistake as Weber is not in Rich Co., and she was born on 2 October 1867 in West Porterville, Morgan, Utah; that her father was Enoch Tipton who was born in Wales--which is another mistake as Enoch was born in Shropshire, England; and that her mother was Elizabeth Bruff who was born in England--which is a spelling mistake as Elizabeth's surname was Brough. John Harris died of a heart attack. He was a former Idaho Falls, Idaho, Police Lieutenant and Chief as well as a Marine in WWII and a prisoner there for 4 years.
