The 1966 death and obituary of "John Shaw" is listed in the "Arizona Republic" newspaper (via Ancestry.com) of Thursday, 7 July 1966, which states the following: "John Shaw - Services for John Shaw, 79, who died yesterday [Wednesday, 6 July 1966] in his daughter's home at 5514 N. 19th Ave. [in Phoenix, Maricopa, Arizona], will be in Canton, Ohio.  Burial will be in Pleasant City, Ohio.  Mr. Shaw was born in England, came to the United States in 1914 and became a citizen in 1925.  He lived in Canton and had been a seasonal visitor to Phoenix several years.  He had been a foreman in a paint factory before become disabled.  Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. James Watson of Phoenix; two sons, Charles of Mountainville, W. Va., and Albert of Canton, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Sunset Chapel made arrangements in Phoenix."
