Relatiionship Note: In 2018 the Brough Family Organization (BFO) conducted an extensive radius search for the christening record of "Benjamin Brough" who was born about 1790 and who married Ann Frost in 1814 in Leek, Staffordshire. Unfortunately, no christening record was located for Benjamin Brough. However, an in-depth analysis of Brough families living within 50 miles of Leek during the late 1700's suggested that Benjamin Brough was probably the son of John Brough and Elizabeth Bennett--who had children christened in Leek in 1784, 1786 and 1800. Interestingly, Benjamin Brough probably named his first son, John (chr.1817), after his father, John Brough, and his second son, Joseph (chr. 1819), after his wife's father, Joseph Frost.
