Also, an attached newspaper article states that she was born in "Brooklyn, N.Y., December 3, 1859 [and that] She came to Utah with her parents in 1861."
In the 1870 U.S. Census, 'Sarah Vawdrey" is listed as being 10 years old (born about 1860), born in New York, and residing with her apparent parents, Thomas and Hannah Vawdrey, and three siblings, at: Willow Creek Ward, Draperville, Salt Lake, Utah Territory.
