Research Notes:
In 2014, some BFO researchers suggested that a "Mr. Borough of Saltfleetby, Lincolnshire" was "born about 1539" and "may have been the son of William Borough" (b.abt.1511-d.aft.1571) who was "of Saltfleetby, Lincolnshire, and Warter, Yorkshire" (which locations are about 70 travel miles apart from each other). If this is correct, then William Borough's possible grandson, "Willelmus Burghe" (b.abt.1565), was "of Cottingham, Yorkshire"--which is only about twenty miles from Warter, Yorkshire. Also, these researchers suggested that the given name of "Mr. Borough" may have been "William"--as that was the given name of his possible father and son. Further research into this possibility and other related matters is currently being conducted by the BFO Research Committee.
