M. Inspector of Taxes; and that Peggy Brough was 26 years old (born about 1917), a Spinster of 269 Mansfield Road, Arnold, and that her father was George Brough, a Motor Cycle Manufacturer.  The marriage was witnessed by D. H. Ruggins and G. Mahl.

In December 2010, the RBFO obtained a copy of the birth certificate of Peggy Brough from England, which stated that she was born on 26 April 1917 in Corley Moor, Allesley, Warwickshire, and that her father was George Brough, a Motor Engineer, and her mother was "Constance Brough formerly Evans."

In February 2011, the RBFO obtained a copy of the death certificate of Peggy Crosbie from England, which stated that her Maiden surname" was "Brough", that she was born on 26 April 1917 in Warwickshire, that she died of "Carcinomatosis [and] Carcinoma of [the] Cervix" on 16 July 1975 in Stoney Crest, Hindhead, Surrey, and that she was the "Widow of Pierce William Crosbie, Car Salesman" of "Ambleside, Glen Road, Grayshott, Hindhead, Surrey".  Her "Usual address" was listed as: "12, Private Road, Sherwood, Nottingham", and the Informant at the time of her death was listed as "Elizabeth Constance Brough", her "Mother".

In March 2010, the RBFO obtained a copy of the death announcement of Peggy Brough Crosby from the Haslemere Herald (formerly the Herald for Farnham, Haslemere & Hindhead Herald) newspaper in England, which stated the following: "Rosbie, Peggy: wife of the late Pierce William Crosby and dearly loved daughter of Constance and the late George Brough on 16 July 1975".  (Research Note: There was no death notice of Peggy Brough Crosby's passing in either the "Times Newspaper", the "Motor Cycle News" or the "Nottingham Evening Post".)

The book "Brough Superior: The Complete Story" (by Peter Miller, The Crowood Press Ltd., 2010, pages 184-185) states: "George Brough died at his home 'Pendine', on the Mansfield Road in Nottingham, on 12 January 1970, aged 79.  He had been unwell for several months.  His wife Constance survived him by almost 11 years and died on Christmas Eve 1980, aged 87.  Their only daughter, Peggy, had married but had never had children, and both she and her husband had died several years previously [to 1980].  The family had employed a Spanish servant, Jose Luis Lopez Balomir, as a houseboy to look after George.  Luis was first employed while still a teenager and over the years had become more a family member than a servant.  When George died, Mrs. Brough sold 'Pendine' and moved into Private Road, close to where Luis lived with his family.  Luis was a beneficiary of the estate, and also inherited George's collection of trophies.  Sadly, many of those trophies were subsequently lost in a burglary."

The book "Legends in Their Lifetime: George Brough & Lawrence of Arabia" (by C.E. 'Titch' Allen, 2010, p.219) states: "Mrs. Brough later sold Pendine and moved to smaller premises just off Mansfield Road nearer Nottingham.  When she died [in 1980] Luis [Jose Juis Lopes Baldomir], who was at that point more like a son to her, his family was her family, inherited again.  Mrs. Brough's daughter Peggy and son-in-law were already dead."
