In the 1911 Census, Edith Brough is listed as being "1 month" old (born about February 1911--as the 1911 Census was taken on 2 April 1911), born in Leek, Staffordshire, and residing with her parents, Harry Edwin and Ellen Brough, and four siblings, at: 66 Grosvenor Street, Leek, Staffordshire.

The death of Edith Margaret Boon is listed in the England & Wales Death Index (via Ancestry.com) as having been registered during April-June 1997 in Trafford district, Cheshire (Register Number: D1A, District and Subdistrict: 0151D, Entry Number: 299) and states that she was born on 26 February 1911.

The 1881 Census lists "Zonolia Z.F." (Birch) as being about 30 years old (born about 1851), born in Leek, married and working as a "S Machinist" while residing in Leek.

In October 2008, the RBFO obtained a copy of the birth certificate from England for Elizabeth Brough, which stated that she was born on 22 March 1891 at 40 Stone Road, Florence, Trentham, Staffordshire, and that his father was Jabez Brough, a Potter's Presser, and her mother was "Louisa Brough formerly Tooth".

The christening of Elizabeth Brough is listed in the parish register for Dresden (FHL Films # 1470944 and 1999394, Item #4), which stated that Elizabeth Brough was christened on 3 May 1891 and that her parents were Jabez (a Potter) and Louisa Brough of 44 Stone Road, Florence.

A "Conditional Baptism" is recorded as having been performed for "Elizabeth Brough" on "Easter, 1893" at St. Gregory (Catholic Church), Longton (FHL Film # 1999394, Item #4), and states that she was born on 22 March 1891.

In the 1901 Census, Elizabeth Brough is listed as being about 10 years old (born about 1891) and born in Longton, Staffordshire.


George Vincent

The 1903 birth of "George Vincent" is listed in the online GRO Index and Staffordshire BMD, which combined states that his birth was registered in July-September 1903 in Norton subdistrict, Leek district (which includes the civil parish of Norton in the Moors), Staffordshire, England, and that his mother's surname was "Badger".  Also, in the 1939 England & Wales Register (via Ancestry.com), "George Vincent" is listed as being born on 27 May 1902--which probably should have been recorded as 1903, married and working as an "Innkeeper", and residing with his wife, Louie (born 5 November 1904), and Louie's widowned mother, Louie Brough (born 8 September 1870), at: Meynell Arms Inn, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, England.

In the 1911 Census, "George Vincent" is listed as being 8 years old (born about 1903), born in Norton, Staffordshire, and residing with his parents, James Vincent (age 46 and born in Nottingham and working as a "Coal Mine Labourer") and Scharlote (age 43 and born in South Staffordshire), and four older brothers, at: 44 Cliff Street, Nettlebank, Smallthorne, Staffordshire, England.

In the 1921 Census, "George Vincent" is listed as being 18 years and 1 month old (born about May 1903--as the 1921 Census was taken on 19 June 1921), born in Norton, Staffordshire, England, single and working as a "Porter [on a] Railway", and residing with his parents, James Vincent (age 58 years and 1 month old) and Charlotte (?age 55 years and 1 month old), and an older brother, at: No. 3 New Ford, Smallthorne, Staffordshire, England.

The 1927 marriage of "Georgium Vincent" and "Louisam Mariam Brough" is listed in the parish register of St. Gregory (Catholic), Longton, Staffordshire (FHL Film # 1999441, Item #1), which states that they were married on 15 May 1927 in St. Gregory (Catholic) church in Longton, Staffordshire, that Georgium was the son of "Jacobi Vincentii", and that Louisam was the daughter of "Jabez Brough".  The marriage was witnessed by Harold Brough and L. M. Brough.

In the 1939 England & Wales Register (via Ancestry.com), "George Vincent" is listed as being born on 27 May 1902--which probably should have been recorded as 1903, married and working as an "Innkeeper", and residing with his wife, Louie (born 5 November 1904), and Louie's widowned mother, Louie Brough (born 8 September 1870), at: Meynell Arms Inn, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, England.

The 1947 death of "Goerge Vincent" is listed in Newspapers.com, which states that he died in 1947 at "Hospital Street" in Nantwich, Cheshire, England, and that the date of his obituary in the Nantwich Chronicle was 28 June 1947. The 1904 birth and christening of "Maria Louise Brough" is listed in the parish register of St. Gregory (Catholic Church), Longton, Staffordshire (FHL Film # 1999394, Item #2), which states that Maria Louise Brough was born on 5 November 1904 and christened on 23 April 1905 as the daughter of Jabez Brough and Louisa Tooth.

The 1985 death and probate of "Louisa Mary Brammar" is listed in the England & Wales National Probate Calendar (via Ancestry.com), which states that she was "of St. Marys Home Stone Staffs", that she died on "26 March 1985", and that her "Probate" took place in "Birmingham [on] 24 April [1985] and was "Not exceeding £40000".
