In August 2007, the RBFO obtained a copy of the marriage certificate of John Worsdale and Harriet Cope, which stated that they were married "at Fulford Chapel in the Parish of Stone" on 2 October 1871, and that the father of John Worsdale (age 20) was "Edward Worsdale" and the father of Harriet Cope (age 19) was "Aaron Simcox".

In the 1871 Census, Harriet Cope is listed as being about 19 years old (born about 1852), born in Longton, Staffordshire, and living in Normacott (Stone Parish, Staffordshire) as the "sister-in-law" to Joseph and Ellen Myatt.

In October 2007, the RBFO obtained a copy of a birth certificate from England that listed a Harriet Cope born on 12 February 1852 in High Street, Longton, to a "Hannah Cope". No father was listed on the birth certificate. Harriet's mother, "Hannah Cope" (listed on the above mentioned birth certificate), may be the same person as "Sarah Cope" listed as the mother in the Stone Parish christening record of Harriet Eleanor Cope. Further research needs to be conducted into this possibility.
