In September 2011, the RBFO Research Committee determined that Andrew Brough was born and christened in 1838 in Errol, Perthshire, Scotland. In 1895, Andrew Brough, then a Bachelor and about 57 years of age, married Alice Ward, who was 26 years of age, in St. Albans, Christchurch, New Zealand. This couple subsequently had six children (between 1896 and 1907), with their last child being born in 1907--when Andrew Brough was 69 years old and Alice Ward was 38 years old. Andrew Brough died in 1913--at the age 75.
