Benjamin Thompson Styche

In March 2009, the RBFO received an email from James Styche (Jstyche@verizon.net) which stated the following: "My 2x great-grandfather [was] Benjamin Thompson Styche [who] married Charlotte Sutton on 6 December 1842 in St. Leonards, Marston, Staffordshire, U.K. Her [Charlotte Sutton's] mother was Anne Brough, father Samuel Sutton. Charlotte had one child, Clement, born in 1845, in Stone, Staffordshire, U.K. Charlotte died in the December quarter of 1845 in Wolverhampton. The cause may have been Cholera as there was an epidemic during that period. Banjamin Styche passed away in 1880 in Derbyshire. Clement, my great-grandfather, married Ellen Wordley in 1866 in Wolverhampton. After his father's death, he and Ellen emigrated to the United States in 1880 and settled in Elizabeth Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania."

Research Note: The on-line FreeBMD lists the death of a Charles Sutton, age 43 (born about 1824) that was registered in the October-December quarter of 1867 in Congleton district.
