The LDS proxy baptism for Thomas Brough was accomplished in 1916 by Samuel R. Brough. The LDS proxy endowment for Thomas Brough was accomplished in 1931 by William T. Rex.

The 1851 Census shows Thomas and Sarah Brough, and their last two children--George and Harriet--living in Trentham, (in the Ecclesiastical District of Blurton), Staffordshire, England. Thomas is discribed in the 1851 Census as being about 65 years old and a "Shoemaker [and] Chelesa Pensioner". Sarah is listed in the 1851 Census as being about 51 years old.
Thomas is not listed in the 1861 Census, while his wife Sarah is listed in the 1861 Census.

According to the Trentham Parish Register (FHL Film #1526191, and FHL book # British, 942.46, B4pr. V.39, p.280), William was a "Whitesmith" and resided in Mearheath, Trentham, Staffordshire, England. (According to Wikipedia.org, a "whitesmith is a person who works with white or light-colored metal (such as tin) and does finish work, such as filing and/or polishing, on iron to remove black oxides.")

The LDS baptism proxy for William Brough was accomplished by Samuel R. Brough in 1894; the LDS endowment for William Brough was accomplished by Chester R. Brough in 1921; and the LDS sealing-to-parents was done in 1972 via the LDS Extraction Program.

The Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah, contains the Trentham Parish Register book as: FHL book # British, 942.46, B4pr, Vol. 39, (which covers the years 1744-1812).

The Trentham Parish Register shows Elizabeth Brough was christened as the daughter of William Brough and "Elizabeth". However, RBFO researchers currently believe (in April 2006) this may be a mistake and that Elizabeth Brough was actually the daughter of William Brough and "Margaret".
