In the late 1990's, Ethel Mickelson Brough
of West Jordan, Utah, began researching the ancestry and genealogy of
her Nichols family. Listed below are her direct Nichols ancestors:

Ethel Mickeson (b.1947) married Robert Clayton Brough (b.1950)
in 1973 in Ogden, Utah. They have four children (shown above). Clayton
is a geography teacher and television weather forecaster in Utah.

Helen Isabel Nichols (1913-2000) married Clark Alexander Mickelson (1912-1993)
in 1935 in Logan, Utah. They had five children (shown above). Clark was
a dairyman and farmer in Lago (Grace), Idaho.

Olive Lovenia Booth (1877-1924) married Benjamin Thomas Nichols (1875-1934)
in 1895 in Coalville, Utah. They had eleven children-between 1896 and
1924 (most of whom are shown above). Benjamin worked as a coal miner and
carpenter in Utah and Wyoming. The oldest child of Benjamin and Olive
Nichols was William (Bill) Nichols (1896-1970), shown below.

The parents of Benjamin Thomas Nichols (1875-1934) were William Nichols
(1821-1885) and Ellen White (1832-1901), who were married in 1854 in Kelloe,
Durham, England. The couple and their growing young family emigrated to
Utah in 1868.
