Booth & Nichols
Family Organization
The Booth and Nichols Family Organization (BNFO) is a large
Family Organization with ties to the Richard Brough Family Organization
(RBFO). RBFO Genealogists currently assist the BNFO with genealogical
research and historical documentation.
In the late 1990's, Ethel Mickelson Brough
of West Jordan, Utah, began researching the ancestry and genealogy of
her Booth and Nichols family, which extends from--or is associated with--her
mother, Helen Isabel Nichols (1913-2000; shown below). The following genealogical
database and webstie sections contain extensive nformation on related
Booth and Nichols families and their ancestors and descendants:
Genealogies of the Booth
and Nichols Ancestors and Descendants (1600's to 1900's)
(The above database contains 941 linked individuals
and 339 marriages)

Ethel Mickeson (b.1947) married Robert Clayton Brough (b.1950)
in 1973 in Ogden, Utah. They have four children (shown above). Clayton
is a geography teacher and television weather forecaster in Utah.

Helen Isabel Nichols (1913-2000) married Clark Alexander Mickelson (1912-1993)
in 1935 in Logan, Utah. They had five children (shown above). Clark was
a dairyman and farmer in Lago (Grace), Idaho.

During the past ten years, Ethel M. Brough has conducted
research at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah (shown
above), on the English ancestors and descendants of Benjamin Thomas Nichols
(1875-1934) and Olive Lovenia Booth (1877-1934). At times, she has found
some of the English genealogical records from the 1600's to the early
1800's somewhat difficult to read (as shown below).

In 2002, Forrest Rick McConkie and Evelyn Jean Nichols McConkie
published a 475-page book on The Life and Times of Benjamin Thomas
Nichols and his wife Olive Lovenia Booth, 1875-1934--which included
extensive histories, photographs and genealogies of their descendants
and ancestors. The book (shown below) is still available from the McConkie's,
